My answer to Should a Product Manager attend the daily standup(s)? Answer by David Leccese: In some cases the individual is serving dual roles and acting as both the Product Manager and the Product Owner. While it can definitely be challenging to wear both hats, I find that the Product Owner must attend the daily stand-ups. It is crucial to have business representation at the daily stand-up in order to help answer any questions the team members may have and to help remove any impediments that may exist. Being present and participating in stand-ups and other team meetings is what makes the Product Owner part of the team and helps to build a strong foundation of trust and cohesion that leads to increased collaboration and improved teamwork. These core team principles are what embody high-performing Scrum teams and what enable them to flourish. In other cases someone other than the Product Manager is serving the role of Product Owner.
